Narcoossee is an "A" School!!!!!

School grades have been released, and Narcoossee Elementary School has earned an "A" rating!!! We are so proud of the work that we have done together this past school year. It all begins with your support and work at home. Our students, teachers, and staff did an amazing job! Thank you all and we look forward to celebrating this success together!!!

It's Summertime!!!

We hope you are enjoying your summer break! We were so happy to have our summer camps and programs up and running!! Our Champions Summer Camp is in full swing. We welcome Ms. Emgee and team as they engage enrolled students in fun activities and tasks. This program will run until the end of July.

We also had our school district summer program running for students that need a little extra learning and support during the summer. Narcoossee Elementary School was a summer school hub, which means we welcomed students from East Lake elementary school and Voyager K-8 to join students from NCES for a little extra learning support. This program started June 2nd and ended on June 25th. We thank all of the teachers and staff that helped to support this time with students.

Academic Corner: Parent Tips for Summer

Summer break is all about recharging, but keeping the chaos at bay requires intentional planning. To help your child thrive and continue to learn over the remaining time this summer, prioritize setting a loose routine, managing screen time, and building in dedicated downtime for both you and your kids. Take a look at the following tips:

  • Times: Maintain consistent wake-up times and bedtimes (even if they are later than the school year) to keep sleep cycles regulated.
  • Summer Chores: Update your chore charts to include age-appropriate summer tasks.
  • Prevent the Summer Slide: Keep kids' brains active without the pressure of homework. Have them read the captions on the TV, point out words on restaurant menus, or find items at the grocery store.
  • Library Programs: Check out the Osceola Library System to sign up for local summer reading challenges, free family events, and storytimes near St. Cloud.
  • Local Camps: Browse local city and county park programs early to lock in affordable day camps, sports clinics, or arts programs.
  • Local Parks: Plan free or low-cost outings. For outdoor playtime or cooling off, check out the amenities at St. Cloud's local parks via the City of St. Cloud Parks & Recreation website.

NCES Paw Print Fundraiser!

Help us celebrate our "A" by placing your child's name on our walkway in a bear cub paw print. We will be painting paw prints in the walking pathways this summer as a reminder to our students to continue on this pathway to success! Purchase a paw print for the 26-27 school year and we will personalize it with your student's name! This will be used as a fundraiser for the school to assist with school wide student activities and student motivational rewards throughout the year. Paw prints can be purchased through MySchoolBucks or the QR code in the flyer below.
