Dr. Nadia Winston-Narcoossee Elementary Principal

Principal’s Message

Dear Bear Cubs,

Welcome to the 2026-27 School Year at Narcoossee Elementary School!

We are excited to have you with us and look forward to another year filled with learning, growth, and success. Narcoossee Elementary School is an “A” rated school and a proud leader within Osceola County Public Schools. Here, each student is provided with a high-quality education, along with the guidance and support they need throughout their elementary school experience.

At Narcoossee Elementary School, our staff is committed to helping students succeed and become leaders. We believe that education is most effective when it’s a partnership between families, students, staff, and the entire Narcoossee community. Our work with The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People® reinforces this belief. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People® is one of the key frameworks of the Leader in Me model. Leader in Me® is a whole-school transformation model and process developed in partnership with educators that empowers students with the leadership and life skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. It is based on principles and practices of personal/ interpersonal responsibility, and organizational effectiveness, and upon the powerful premise that every child possesses unique strengths and has the ability to be a leader.

We encourage you to ensure your students’ daily attendance to school. Attendance is a critical component of student success at Narcoossee Elementary. All students are expected to be present, on time, and ready to learn each day. School begins at 7:50 a.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m.  To enhance the academic experience at Narcoossee Elementary School, encourage your student to get involved with our many activities, clubs, and sports. These activities help our students to explore their interests and make choices about their future.

We also encourage all parents and guardians to be actively involved by checking the Parent Portal regularly to stay informed about your studen’s attendance, assignments, and grades. Please consider joining our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and our School Advisory Council (SAC) to support our excellent school initiatives and goals.

School begins in just a few weeks.  We look forward to seeing you at our Meet the Teacher Event on Friday, August 7th from 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM to be prepared for the start of the school year!

REMINDERS:

  • Monday, August 10, 2026, is the First Day of School!
