Testing Continues!

We are entering the home stretch. We have a little less than 3 weeks of school to go and many activities. Last week our 3rd and some of our primary grade students worked extremely hard on their first round of testing. We were so proud of their focus and readiness for the testing. Thank you to all parents who continue to bring your kids to school daily and on time. This week will be the continuation of our testing for our 3rd grade students and the start of testing for our 4th and 5th graders. Please make sure students get a good night's rest and come ready for their next round of testing. We look forward to an amazing week!

Student Testing Rewards

We are so proud of our students who began their PM3 testing. Our first group were our 3rd graders who took their FAST ELA testing. Our unofficial scores are coming back, and we are so proud of our students for the results we are starting to see. They are most certainly "Leveling Up" and showing growth from the last set of testing! We started passing out our first round of "Level UP" party bracelets. Our students have more testing ahead and more bracelets to earn. Each bracelet unlocks another level of prizes and rewards for students. With the motivation and focus we are seeing from our students, Narcoossee will MOST CERTAINLY meet our goal of getting back to being an "A"!!!!

Teacher/Staff Appreciation Was A Hit!

I want to take some time to thank PTO, all of our families, and businesses/community members who donated towards making this week incredible for our staff! We could not do this work without you and your support. Thank you!

Academic Corner: Instructional Push

Our Bear Cubs continue to hard as we approach end of year testing! Our 2nd grade continues to reinforce skills during their "Bootcamp" day. Teachers and students dressed up in camouflage as a fun way to review skills that would be tested. Let us keep this focus as we enter the last weeks of testing!

Leader in Me Survey

Within these final weeks of school, we will be assessing our progress in academics and all areas of focus from our school improvement plan. One of the areas is our Leader in Me initiative. Our school continues to implement a whole-school transformational process called the Leader in Me, which teaches 21st-century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader. This idea is rooted in the timeless principles of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People® and The 4 Disciplines of Execution®, and transforms classrooms by fostering a culture of school-wide leadership.

Our school will be conducting surveys to learn more about key areas of strength and areas of needed growth in our school. In order for us to have a holistic picture of what is going on in our school, we are asking all full-time staff members, parents/guardians, and students in Grade 4 and up to participate. If you decide to participate, you will be asked to complete a survey (without sharing your name or other identifying information) that will be available through the weblink below. The survey is completely voluntary, but we do hope to get feedback from one member of every household. The parent/guardian survey takes about 12 minutes to complete and will ask questions about your child and about his or her experience in our school. If you have more than one child attending the school, you will be asked to think about the oldest child's experiences as you answer questions related to his or her growth. Thank you for your input!
