We Appreciate Teachers and Staff

This week we take the time to pour out our love and appreciation to our teachers and staff. These great individuals give everything they have to our students on a daily basis. Please take a moment to show your appreciation to your child's teacher this week. See our PTO flyer below. We love and appreciate you teachers and staff!!!

Please note- We got a great idea from one of our families. They gave the idea to have a "gift card" donation box in the front office for those who want to donate cards to our teachers and staff. They stated that teachers do not get paid half of what they are worth, so they wanted to show their love by donating gift cards. If you or your family want to donate any cards to the staff for their work (either specifying the teacher or staff or donating to the general group), please drop off a gift card in the box. This can be $10.00 Starbucks cards or whatever. Thank you all!

Testing Begins This Week!

This week begins FAST testing (see the schedule below). We have practiced, planned, adjusted, and prepared all year—and now it’s time to perform. Please make sure your children are in school and on time. Also, be sure that your children get a good night's rest. We will remind students that there are no cellphone, meta glasses, or other outside technology allowed during testing. We are so excited for students to show what they know and Level Up for testing!

We had an amazing “Glow Parade” and dance party last Friday to celebrate our students' hard work in preparation for PM3 testing. We wanted to get our students excited and encouraged with positive, uplifting testing messages in a fun atmosphere. Our students loved it! We know our students will do their best and be energized to Level Up!

2025-2026 Track Team

Our track team had an amazing time at their final track meet last week. We had a few students place in some events, but overall, our students had fun. We were able to honor our track team last week at their track ceremony. Thank you to Ms. Brown and Mrs. Waters for coaching this wonderful group of students and for organizing the beautiful awards ceremony. Finally, we send a special thanks out to the parents of these students who spent countless hours supporting their children by bringing them to practices and attending track meets across the district. Thank you all for your dedication and commitment!

Soccer Team's Strong Finish

We are so proud of the accomplishments of our NCES soccer team! They had a strong finish by beating Canoe Creek's soccer team last week with a penalty kick. Thank you Ms. Cornejo for your great coaching of this team. Thank you also to all of the parents who supported their students in this sport - some parents supporting both soccer and track!!

NCES Paw Print Fundraiser!

We will be painting paw prints in the walking pathways this summer as a reminder to our students to continue on this pathway to success. Purchase a paw print for the 26-27 school year and we will personalize it with your student's name! This will be used as a fundraiser for the school to assist with school wide student activities.
Thank you to this family that purchased a paw print last week!!!

Congratulations to Mrs. Jupa and Her Son

We want to congratulate Ms. Jupa. Her son graduated from Fire Academy last week and will be the youngest person (at age 18) to be hired by the St. Cloud Fire Department! He passed his state fire exams and has earned his EMT license. This is a testament to the bright futures that all children have when they have been supported by their parents and schools! Congratulations!

Leader in Me Survey

Within these final weeks of school, we will be assessing our progress in academics and all areas of focus from our school improvement plan. One of the areas is our Leader in Me initiative. Our school continues to implement a whole-school transformational process called the Leader in Me, which teaches 21st-century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader. This idea is rooted in the timeless principles of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People® and The 4 Disciplines of Execution®, and transforms classrooms by fostering a culture of school-wide leadership.

Our school will be conducting surveys to learn more about key areas of strength and areas of needed growth in our school. In order for us to have a holistic picture of what is going on in our school, we are asking all full-time staff members, parents/guardians, and students in Grade 4 and up to participate. If you decide to participate, you will be asked to complete a survey (without sharing your name or other identifying information) that will be available through the weblink below. The survey is completely voluntary, but we do hope to get feedback from one member of every household. The parent/guardian survey takes about 12 minutes to complete and will ask questions about your child and about his or her experience in our school. If you have more than one child attending the school, you will be asked to think about the oldest child's experiences as you answer questions related to his or her growth. Thank you for your input!
